Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 30, 2026
SecureSpace is a calm, women-first chat space. We try to collect as little about you as possible. This policy explains what we store, why, and the control you have over it.
What we collect
- A display name you choose. It is saved on your device and attached to the messages you send.
- Messages and media — text, photos, and voice notes you send to rooms or direct messages.
- Room activity — which rooms you join, requests to join, and presence (who is in a room right now).
- Safety signals — people you block and reports you submit, so our moderators can act on them.
What we don't collect
No account, no password, and no email address are required to chat. You are identified only by the display name you pick on this device.
How it's stored
Messages, presence, blocks, and reports are stored using Google Firebase (Firestore, Realtime Database, and Cloud Storage). Your display name and a few preferences (like mute) live in your browser's local storage.
Moderation
Reports you submit are reviewed by our moderators through an internal dashboard. We may remove access for people who break the rules in our Terms & Conditions.
Your controls
- Block anyone — blocks are mutual and persist.
- Report a message or person with a reason.
- Mute sounds, leave a room, or close the chat anytime.
- Clear your browser data to remove your local identity.
